Vicoo Platform delivers the experimentation of the first program of acceleration for cooperative digital platforms in Italy.
Vicoo Platform’s community accelerator will support start-ups and cooperative enterprises wanting to start, extend or strengthen their activities and their
competences in the digital economy field.
The distinctive element of the model proposed by Vicoo Platform is the fundamental role of local communities in the acceleration process of the platforms.
Vicoo Platform’s project intends to promote an alternative to the extractive model which characterises the majority of digital platforms, as well as experimenting a new model focused on the mutual redistribution of value for local communities and for cooperative enterprises who want to participate.
The Vicoo Platform model intends to start from the needs expressed by the community and later identify or build a cooperative platform able to satisfy them, in order to create a process through which community representatives are involved as key stakeholders. The community will then validate the solution proposed by the cooperative platform and its effectiveness on the local territory.
